Cave temples of Banglore
We may have visited several temples but how often do we see Cave temples. A temple in 2000 year old cave and another one with mysteries attached to it. Temples with Lord Shiva and Lord Krishna as deities. Check out three cave temples of Banglore.
We visited three temples in this trip. The temples were - Hulimavu Cave Temple, Gavipuram Cave temple and Shri Goverdhan Kshetra. The first two temples belong to diety Shiva and the last one belongs to Lord Krishna. The Shiva temples are very old, the first one is in a 2000 yr old cave and the second one is a mysterious temple where the sun rays fall on Shivlinga only on Makarsakranti day for three minutes. Lot of devotees throng the temple during that time. The last one has Lord Krishna holding Goverdhan hill on his finger. This temple belongs to one of the mutts from Udupi.
