Simla tour in covid era
Day 4
Trek to Jakhoo
On the 4th day of our ongoing trip to Simla, we decided to undertake the devotional trek of Lord Hanuman's Temple, Jakhoo.
It is said that while fetching Sanjeevini for Lakshman, Hanuman ji rested on this hill on his sojourn to Himalaya.
The temple is the highest point of Simla, approximately 8000 feet above sea level.
This trek is slightly difficult but can be completed in 45 minutes. On top of the trek, a 108 feet tall statue of Hanuman ji looks really divine. This statue was erected in 2010 and can be seen from far off places.
After catching up with our breath, we started our downward journey where we would be having sumptuous meal and discuss the next course of action.
